Dr. Bryan Vyverberg, MD

Board Certified Psychiatrist and Co-Founder

Dr Bryan Vyverberg has been practicing psychiatry for over 31 years. He is double board certified with the American Board of Psychiatry. He is a third generation military member and retired from the US Air Force as a Colonel after 21 years active duty. His grandfather served in the US Army and his father served in the US Navy. Dr. Vyverberg has served in Hawaii, United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Turkey, Portugal, and Japan, and has been on the staff of the Command Surgeon for USAFE. He was senior Air Force psychiatrist in theater, in Baghdad and many forward locations in Iraq. During his tours throughout Europe, he was able to experience and participate in many other modalities of progressive medical care.

Dr Vyverberg has provided over 21,000 TMS treatments with Gulf Coast Neuro Spa and was an early adopter of offering Spravato treatments. He is known to his patients for his patient-centered approach to medicine. Dr. Vyverberg creates an environment of acceptance and objectivity and offers exceptional knowledge and attention to each patient.

He often expressed that he is so pleased with how TMS and Spravato treatments work for relieving depression, suicidality, anxiety, OCD, and PTSD in patient populations that previously had limited options available. “I look at it as not only a process of treating any disease, but helping to improve the quality of people’s lives.”

Scott Turner, PMHNP-BC

Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and Co-Founder

Scott Turner, the dedicated founder of our practice, is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner native to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He graduated with honors from both the University of South Alabama and the University of Southern Mississippi College of Nursing Advanced Practice Graduate Program. Scott is board certified by American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and is a member of several professional organizations, including the Clinical TMS Society, Mississippi Association of Nurse Practitioners, International Society of Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurses, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and Neuroscience Education Institute.

Scott’s career spans various psychiatric care settings, including outpatient behavioral health, high-intensity inpatient psychiatry, residential treatment programs, interventional outpatient psychiatry, and outpatient adolescent behavioral health wraparound services (MYPAC). He began his career with the Mississippi Department of Mental Health as a Staff RN at the Specialized Treatment Facility, where he became the facility’s first Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. He has also trained and provided care at the Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System.

Scott has extensive experience in evidence-based crisis intervention, psychopharmacological management, and therapeutic interventions, Scott emphasizes therapeutic relationships, patient advocacy, and coordination of care. He collaborates closely with psychiatrists, primary care providers, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care for his patients.

Scott is well known by his patients for providing personalized patient care that includes psychoeducation and therapeutic support. He believes in integrating medical and mental health care for sustainable treatment and ensures comprehensive care coordination among providers. Certified in administering Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), Scott is committed to incorporating the latest evidence-based treatment modalities into his practice. His dedication to his community and continuous drive to improve his practice reflect his commitment to providing exceptional psychiatric care.

Stephanie has been with Gulf Coast NeuroSpa since its founding in December of 2019. She is a New Orleans native who has found a second home on the Gulf Coast.Stephanie has been working in behavioral healthcare administration since 2012. She is dedicated to maintaining a healing and supportive environment and steers the team towards constant development. She strives to open doors to healing for our community by ensuring that any barriers to access care are addressed and resolved.

In addition to her role as our CEO, Stephanie has been certified as a TMS technician since 2017. “After witnessing, first-hand, the profound impact that TMS and now Spravato can have on a person’s well-being and quality of life, it became my own mission to be a part of spreading awareness of and accessibility to these treatments and to continue breaking ground on emerging modalities.”

Leah Jean

Director of Operations

Leah Jean was born and raised in the town of Jean Lafitte, twenty five miles south of New Orleans. She studied art and psychology at Louisiana State University, and still bleeds purple and gold to this day. As the Director of Operations at Gulf Coast NeuroSpa, Leah enhances the patient experience by ensuring that our mission and values are upheld in every aspect of our clinic.

We are committed to making sure that our innovative treatment options best suit the needs of the individual. Leah’s drive to help individuals actuate their mental health goals makes her the perfect fit for Gulf Coast NeuroSpa, where patient needs are our top priority. Leah is energized to lead our team in delivering transformative experiences so that each of our patients are able to feel a sense of empowerment, pride, and success in finding the right treatment regimen for themselves.

TMS Coordinator

Tia is our lead TMS technician and TMS Coordinator. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from The University of Mississippi in 2021 and is continuing to further her education in behavioral health by pursuing a master’s degree in social work. She joined Gulf Coast NeuroSpa in August of 2022. Tia facilitates a smooth experience for our TMS patients and ensures that their needs are met at each treatment. Her background in psychology has contributed to her skill and pool of knowledge, making her an exceptionally skilled TMS Technician and an empathetic coordinator. Tia is dedicated to continuous improvement and maintains that commitment in evolving our patient experiences.

Courtney

Courtney

Ocean Springs office manager

Courtney is our Ocean Springs office manager. She is solution-focused and effectively supports virtually every need for patients at Gulf Coast NeuroSpa in order to optimize their overall treatment. A coast native, Courtney graduated from MGCCC in 2021. Well known to our Ocean Springs patients for her warmth and dedication, she exudes sincere hospitality at all times. If Courtney does not know how to do it, she will pave a way. When a treatment plan is established, she is here to ensure that any potential barriers or challenges are addressed and handled.

Erin Beihl

Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor

Erin moved to the Gulf Coast in 2015 and immediately fell in love. “The kindness and warmth I experienced here drove me to pursue a master’s degree in counseling.” She is a provisionally licensed professional counselor, working on full licensure in our clinic. Erin was an integral part in developing our Spravato treatment program and has a profound commitment to quality patient care. Erin believes that our patients already hold the key to their own healing, and she is passionate about finding everyone’s inner hero through healing past traumas and utilizing coping mechanisms that work for the individual.

Her methods include a mix of different evidence-based techniques based on patient needs, but most of her counseling is rooted in psychodynamic theories, such as internal family systems. Erin is a firm believer in making sure the mental health field is constantly evolving to meet the needs of those it serves, and this is why she loves having a hand in not only her role as a therapist, but in other treatment modalities that we use to serve our patients. Erin believes that every person who walks through our doors is worthy of healing and love, and she finds purpose in empowering individuals to find their inner strength and self-love.

Camille joined our team in 2022 to manage and oversee the day-to-day processes at our Gulfport office. She began serving in healthcare administration in 2015. Her extensive background in behavioral health specifically adds to the foundation of Gulf Coast NeuroSpa! Camille leads our team to constantly strive for excellence and to actively make efforts to maintain excellence. Her focus is ensuring that every patient at our office is given our greatest possible effort to accommodate each unique need that may arise.
